o Hotels are paid by OSDTN with assurance knowing that room charges will be covered on behalf of the Veteran. **

o SSVF can provide up to 100% of all room fees ** (excluding taxes and misc. charges)

o SSVF is a short-term program, designed to be a gap filler for Veterans experiencing housing insecurity. SSVF can provide up to 45 days in emergency housing once a Veteran has a confirmed move in date to permanent housing.

o The OSDTN SSVF program supports 20 counties across Middle TN: Cheatham, Davidson, Dickson, Giles, Hickman, Houston, Humphreys, Lewis, Lincoln, Marshall, Maury, Montgomery, Perry, Robertson, Rutherford, Stewart, Sumner, Trousdale, Williamson, Wilson.

o SSVF is a federal program through the Department of Veteran Affairs. It has contracts with agencies through the United States to support homelessness prevention.

o There are other SSVF providers throughout Tennessee and more than one provider can serve a particular county.

o OSDTN is an independent nonprofit with 501c3 status and serves as a resource center for Veterans providing community connections/referrals, career services, and crisis services.

o OSDTN administers the SSVF Grant program as part of its larger crisis services program.
